Description

I build this a couple days ago and so far, the PC has been running Windows smoothly and I haven't had any problems, yet at least. I mainly use it for gaming/work but just to let you guys know, the monitor in the part list is wrong. PCPartPicker didn't have the one I'm currently using so had to use similar one.

CPU: I chose this core because of several reasons. I asked a friend about low budget but still good CPUs and he recommended me the Intel i5 6500. Furthermore, I made a couple posts on the forums about part lists and many who responded chose the Intel i5 6500 as well so I thought, why not try it?

Motherboard: I chose the MSI H110M Gaming (sorry got the part wrong in part list) mainly because it was a cheap and affordable motherboard. I looked up some specs and it looked pretty good so I was like meh why not?

Memory: I don't know why but when I got into PC building, I always wanted Kingston RAM. So I decided to buy a 16GB DDR4-2133 Kit of Two for my PC and so far it's running well.

Storage: I chose this because I really only need 1TB and it was affordable.

Video Card: Again, budget matters. This video card is low end but still runs my games smoothly.

Case: This was an easy choose. I checked for some PC cases for beginners and somebody recommended me this case so I got it.

Power supply: I knew I wanted 80+ Bronze or Gold and I got a Corsair Case so I decided to get a Corsair PSU as well as I saw in a YouTube video that apparently it will fit better or something? I really don't know.

Optical Drive: Cheapest on the market so I got it.

Wireless Adaptor: I have yet to install this but I need to to download Steam and stuff.

Monitor: This isn't my actually monitor but I couldn't find my monitor on the website so I enter that one.

PC Overview: It runs smoothly and quietly and I'm pretty proud of myself, as this was a first build. Took me 2 hours... GOD! But, I had a lot of fun building this machine.

Part Reviews

CPU

It works well and the stock cooler is very useful (it's actually pretty powerful/quiet). I enjoyed using this CPU for my gaming.

Motherboard

Easy installation and nice design.

Memory

The best RAM ever. Can't get better than this.

Storage

Cheap and affordable and it does its job well. only issue is that if you drop it, well performance goes down.

Video Card

Affordable and actually really good for a low end video card.

Case

Lots of room and great case overall.

Power Supply

Does its job well with low power consumption.

Optical Drive

Very cheap and quiet. Does its job efficiently.

Monitor

Don't buy it. It's a load of BS.

Good build, but you could get a better GPU if you're gaming. Nice job otherwise.

Great build you got there bud +1 ...but ...since You're Down Under you could try your hand at the used market in Australia. I'll be honest at $59 AUD it's seems kinda dear for the performance you get compared to what you can find on sites like gum tree .

Decent budget/low end gaming first build! Mind me asking, how old have you been when you built it?

Seems great though now you probably want to upgrade to the GT 1030 since its the only GT card to not be known notoriously for being horrible
