This is my first PC build which went quite smoothly.
The Ryzen CPU worked straight out of the box with the Asus Prime B350-Plus motherboard thankfully!
A few problems I had was:
Marrying the motherboard to the IO board- Those sharp metal prongs were a nightmare!
Front panel connections to the motherboard - I was trying to put them into something called PC 6000 (whatever that is) instead of the correct prongs next to that. (The motherboard instructions left a bit to be desired!).
Figuring out how to connect the case fans, SSD & HDD to the PSU. The Corsair case instruction book was worse than the Asus motherboard one!
Apart from the above everything went OK and the PC looks fantastic and is extremely quiet - You can't tell that the fans are running!
Finally managed to afford a graphics card for it - ASUS Cerberus GeForce 1050 Ti OC Edition. Also changed the monitor to AOC G2590VXQ25 after the Samsung S24D300HL 23.6" broke down.
The CPU is excellent and worked out of the box with the motherboard.
Very good motherboard.
Very fast SSD.
Gorgeous tower to look at and work with. Very spacious.
Very quiet PSU.
